Electronic shift kit for 1995 f150 5.8 e4od

I'm looking for a an electronic shift kit for my pick me up truck. I don't really want to change the valve body in the tranny itself but I want the firmer shifts and less slippage as result from the shift kit.

Is there even a shift kit like that out there?

Any help your be much appreciated.

Contact, TransGo, B&M. Look on Jegs.com or Summitracing.com. If you have GOOGLE try that.

There are kits that come with parts, springs and drill bits needed to modify your existing valve body. I believe TCI makes one and they cost around 100 bucks. Or, you can buy it assembled, ready to install for around 200 bucks. Punisher valve bodies are built anyway you want; tow/haul, performance or competition, the guy came make them in any shift firmness you like.

your best bet is a real shift kit.have a trans shop install if your not into it.
if you just want an electric shift kit, then save your $ and search for e40d resistor mod.

Awesome thanks guys! I have scoured the interweb for hours looking at shift kits. I guess I'll go with one of the valve body ones probably the Transgo one. How big of a pita is it to install one?

i had installed a b&m shift kit prior to a reman trans and that worked great.
latter i had a reman done and he beefed it all up along with the transgo and man, that's even better.
the trouble with the shift kits is,that in order to address the front pump mods, trans removal is required.
i did the front pump mods to mine before a reman, and i wondered if i had frigged something up but the trans guy did say,it would have never run fine for that 10k miles after if i did.it was just a fluke.
still it was tricky.now i know better not to let the gears fall out behind the pump, but still if i were to do it again,id just take it in and have a shop mod the pump and everything.
that or just install the valve body part alone and leave the pump mods alone until you need a reman someday.but dang, having the pump modded sure is nice too cus it locks the converter up like a full shift feel without the slip for "driver comfort".
it may cost a bit,but simply driving to a trans shop and getting a trango tugger kit fully installed would be the best.it totally transforms the e40d and makes it feel like the hd trans it was meant to be and gets it shifting like a truck.you'll have no regrets.

the banks electronic shift kit is just about the same deal.it doesn't address what you really want it too.
it simply turns down or off if you will for ease of explanation a "resistor mod" and makes it work as an on needed only type of setup.for less than a buck though you can just use a resistor.it will just have the firm shifts all time, regardless of load unlike the banks, where it will tone tone the electronic line pressure when taking off easier under less load.

Don't do any of those electric kits, I researched a lot before doing my shift kit install and there are a lot of horror stories out there. I didn't even install the resistor supplied with my kit and still got the benefits from the valve body mods alone. Check this link, I used the B&M Shift Improver Kit (stage 1) and I've been quite happy with it so far: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post13059337

If you're overhauling, look into the Sure Cure by Sonax. They address most of the problems inherent to the E4OD. You can tune your shift points at install time and also address some of the weaknesses of the transmission. Their case bushing is a great way to solve specific problems of the early model transmissions.
Since you're not overhauling (yet) one of the transgo kits will get you where you want to go. I don't like drilling the separator plate as the Sonnax solution addresses the problem by changing the actual accumulator valve along with the spring set.
