57 Parking Light Door
Don't believe there is a separate "door" part on those light units, just the light housing, wires and contacts, spring and disk and the lens. At least, that was all there is on my 57 parking/turn signal lights, which are about the same metal parts as the tail lights too. Bill (Number Dummy) confirm please? My parts book disk is not here with me now.

Socket with wires originally swagged into park lamp bodies, which are right & left specific. There are no doors, as you can see.
And the R & L specific bodies vary, depending on if used w/a single filament bulb, or w/a double filament bulb, or if chrome or painted.
13208 lens / 13211 gasket, lens to park lamp body (13206 R/S - 13207 L/S) / 13217 mounting gasket.

57 Parking Light Door
Billdan,
It appears that you are looking at the parking light assembly for a "P" series (Parcel) truck, not an "F" series truck, as is shown in my parts catalog.
The part, #13210, is the door, as you said. Just for the wrong truck.
Easy enough mistake to be made. I had to look really close to see it for sure. My eyes are getting old.
Nobody has "chastised" you.

Who chastised you? Not I. The thing is...you are unaware that you're not only using .. but quoting from an out of date parts catalog (manual)!
IF you had the 1957/63 Ford Truck Parts Catalog (available on a C/D from hipoparts.com), we wouldn't be having this conversation. See post 8.
Left: Page 1688 from Text Section of 1957/63 Ford Truck Parts Catalog (1970 final edition): Notice there is no B7C-13210-B left (or B7C-13210-A right) door listed.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I also have an original 1956/57 bound paper Chassis Parts & Accessory Catalog (1957 edition).
Page 420: B7C-13210-A Right & B7C-13210-B Left .. DOOR (PARKING LAMP). On page 419 is the pic of the door and related parts.
It's the SAME pic as in post 3, but the basic part number for the door is different.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
People should not rely on these 1 or 2 year coverage parts catalogs, because in later editions, Ford CHANGED THE PART NUMBERS & DESCRIPTIONS!
Right: Page 1687 from Text Section of 1957/63 Ford Truck Parts Catalog (1970 final edition):
No 13210 DOOR is listed, because it had been replaced by 13206-7 (13207) BODY ASSY-PARKING LAMP
And, as I said in post 3, there is more than one type of these bodies, because it makes a difference if optional turn signals were present and whether a Standard or Custom Cab.
Turn signals required different bodies, because the bulbs have double filaments. Parking lamps without turn signals only used a single filament bulb.
Standard Cabs came with painted bodies, while Custom Cabs came with chrome bodies.

57 Parking Light Door
Bill (ND), I am using the CD version of the parts catalog, so I hope I am giving correct advice. I also depend on your info to confirm.
billdan, I am sorry if I confused you in any way. I was only trying to help. I was not where my CD was at that time, so I had to rely on my memory of those parking lamp assy. parts. If there is anything else I can assist with, please ask.

Brother, it appears you have been given a lot of help! It seems that folks that are very, very expirienced with finding parts have told you that "parking light door for a 57 F-100", dose not exist. Could you perhaps scan a copy of the page of the manual you are refencing? People make mistakes, but this forum has always been a helpful place and when mistakes have been made and misinformation posted, the guilty parties are always the first to acknowledge their goofs and life goes on.
I take exception to you coming in with your measly post count and referring to some of the best help you can recieve anywhere about ford vehicles, as "talk about nits"! Additionally, remarks such as " Why am I chastised for quoting the manual?" are not needed. Excuse me, but your immaturity is showing. I would suggest you rethink your posistion and in futur make post that are of a more irenic nature!

57 parking light door
OK I am really, really sorry. The immature, naïve me thoroughly expected that we all talked from the same playbook, when I started this project 9-years ago I got the shop and parts manuals and until now they seemed to do me quite well. OOps. Quite frankly it has never occurred to me that I needed to be spending more money on other manuals. My Bad.
Second, the immature, naïve me really, truly expected that one of the first replies to my query would be: "Hey call/write/e-mail/web site so-and-so and they will/might have what you need". Again, my bad.
So, since the weather has improved a bit I will head to the garage and fire up the old girl and take her out on the public roads for the first time, under her own power, in 20-years, maybe 30! She has been in the family since the early '60's. Along the way I took the engine apart and built it back up and it fired up the first time - beginners luck I am sure. Also learned welding, rust control, body work, paint prep, and finally painting.
Now it is time to move on to the next big project in the queue. First some pen/pencil turning that my wife wants for gifts for her and the daughters (pink! - it's that month). Maybe while I have the lathe fired up I will learn metal spinning and make my own parking light.
If you see a red/white '57 out on the road with just one parking light that will probably be my grandsons and I - one of the big reasons for the project was for them to be able to drive a stick shift - probably their only chance.
Thank you one and all for the continuing of my education. Good night.

Billdan; I think we all can relate to the work and dedication it takes to keep these trucks on the road.
I for one will be passing mine down to the grandson.
We all like pictures, And I would really like to see a picture of yours when you hit the road for that first drive. A close up of the turn signal may help to locate a match for you.
Stick around the forum, share some of your experience and knowledge.
I too have been tripped up on terminology (my primary language is hickaneese). Some times my sarcasm gets lost in the written word.
But I can say that you'll be hard pressed to find better forum for these old trucks. I've owned mine since 1970 and the first time I rebuilt it there was no inter-net, and help/knowledge was hard to find.
