How to remove ignition lock
Still looking for short that keeps blowing a 50 amp fuse that operates the wiper and A/C.
Problem started when she (1995 F150) came back from the shop after the shift link was replaced.
Problem is probably a pinched wire.
At any rate I want to remove the key switch and see if any of the wires inside are pinched. there is a SMALL hole in the cylinder-would I put a sharp hole punch in there and push to release the lock?

There are no wires in the tumbler. Turning the cylinder moves a rack which is connected to a rod that goes down the column to the switch. You can access the switch by dropping the column from the dash.
And yes, you can remove the tumbler by turning the switch to either the "off" position or "on" position from the "locked" position and press in with a small punch to release the catch to slide tumbler out.
But this tumbler that the key goes in is pure mechanical...
