Personally I love the Buckstop outback. This is what I will be getting in the near future.

My friend had a Ranch Hand bumper when he had his F250.
Legend Front Bumper - Quality Ranch Hand Product
I thought it was really nice and solid. A tad expensive though. I think he said his cost around $1200 or so? But he used an insurance claim from previous bumper damage to pay for about $800 of that.

Great thread.
Ranch Hand is always a good choice.
Boondock bumpers look great. The only downside for some folks is that they are custom with a lead time. A similar look is Iron Cross and those are easy to find too.
I'm also surprised no one mentioned Road Armor yet too, those have been super popular back in the day.

Push plate style bumpers, like those on tow trucks, seem like the most practical for protection and nudging things. I'm talking about the thick plate steel variety with several hard rubber bars bolted to them. They may not be pretty, but I prefer practicality over looks.
I put a Meyers push plate on my '74 Jeep CJ5 and it saved my bacon when a driver blew through a red light and I T-boned his car one winter.
I designed something similar for the front and rear of an '80 full size Chevy Blazer and had them fabricated at a truck body shop. The front push plate allowed me to push my wife's car without damage when it stalled and wouldn't start a couple of miles from home.
