The cowl was pulled off and sheet metal was placed over the vent openings to prevent water from going it. It is easy to remove if you ever need to get in there to get to the wiper mechanism.

d. The always leaking and noisy side vent windows were removed and 20 gauge sheet metal was welded into place with a steel frame in between the inner and outer layer to support the weight of the super duty mirrors.
The side vent windows to me are one of the coolest features our trucks hold.
