Using a dual diaphram fuel pump for a 1953 on a 1950 v8

My 1950 f-3 v8 windshield wiper does not work very well. I see that the dual diaphram fuel pump is available for the newer flathead v8s. My question is will it work? I think there is a difference in the fuel fittings. I should be able to work around that but what other problems would there be? I can't find any rebuilt or new dual diaphram pumps available for the 1950 v8s.
Any help appreciated. Thanks, Patrick

Looks like it will fit, see below. Fittings look to be the same even, just some difference on the vacuum tube.

Add a vacuum reservoir and it will make a world of difference.
