Special Service Message 22492
Hello:
Does anyone out there know if the service message below form Ford exists? I tried going to here (https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/12...ce-thread.html) as another member suggested but I am not allowed to post in this part of the forum most likely because I am so new.
I am looking for information on a Ford Special Service Message 22492 in regards to a possible problem with the A/C desiccant dries in the system. I would like to find a copy of this document with official Ford letter head. Does anyone know where I can find this information? I have tried to google it several different ways with no luck. My A/C just quite on my 2010 Escape and is not out of warranty. I am trying to understand why a SUV with so low miles on it is having this problem. If any one can help me find this service message I would be very grateful.
Thanks

Hello projectSH089:
My trade is HVAC tech I have had my gauges on the Esacpe and the pressures where not making any sense. My first though was that the condenser was dirty which I cleaned and it did not solve the problem. I have also done a leak check using and electronic leak detector and was not able to find anything. The A/C would work for a bit and then the head pressure would shoot sky high. How ever if there is a blockage in the TX valve the failed desiccant drier makes sense as the system would not be able to correctly equalize.
Thanks
Joe
