Purebred or mutt? I would like another golden but we need to wait until Morgan is gone. I am not doing the two dog thing again.

AKC Yellow Lab. I liked having two, so that is most likely what will happen, but it will be Carole's decision mostly since she is the one home all day to deal with it. We're looking at a rescue dog tonight, but I'm not excited that the dog will fit into our household. I would prefer another purebred lab, maybe a chocolate.

Looks like the weather is gonna slowly creep into the cool side. Enjoy it while it lasts.

I prefer mutts. I think you have less problems unlike purebreds that can have the genetic problems of their individual breeds. Just my opinion I like labs because they are decent size and short hair

Mutts can have a lot of behavioral issues that are not necessarily present in a purebred. Purebreds may have some known health issues with certain breeds but you typically know what those issues are going to be.

I prefer mutts as well and prefer they are female especially if it is an inside dog. Much less trouble with accidents.

Good morning Chris! I am not sure on this one. All our family dogs over the years and our current dog is a mutt and we have never had behavioral issues at all. Not that I wouldn't have a purebred but have had no issues with mutts we have had.
