Sounds like fun...NOT! I need to figure out why my lawn tractor will only backfire out the exhaust, and wont' start. Ran fine for my stepson on the back yard. When he went to start it after emptying the bag, would only backfire, wouldn't start.
If so, the valves need adjusting, or this crappy gas has the jet gummed shut.
I had to put a kit in the log splitter's carb this year, it was a new motor last year, but te jets were gummed solid.

Kohler commander 17.5 horse, with OHV. Gas is fine, used half of the gas can well before sunday.
