Hey, I tried searching and am getting a lot of mixed stuff between different forums and people who say they would rather have a C6.

I found a junkyard about an hour from me that said they had a C6 for me. I had a friends wife get it since they live out in that area. My friend brought it in to work today to give it to me and I noticed it is NOT a C6. Upon looking at it and counting the bolts on the pan, I recalled there being an AOD.

What I want to know is... Big difference between the two, or no? (besides the overdrive) I called the junk yard back and they said they can get a C6 Monday, the problem being they are not open weekends and I work weekdays. Id hate to have my friends wife go back again on her time but it seems like the only other way.

It looks to me like the cooler lines are different. Reading on a page here, someone said the C6 and AOD were the same length. I dont have my C6 available to check it since I live in an apartment. Nobody else confirmed it. If thats the case, with my x-fer case, the driveshaft should fit good, right? What about the flex plate? Different? If the cases are the same, my x-fer case linkage should work, right? As would the crossmember.

I need confirmation from someone with knowledge on this. Thanks in advance.
