I haven't had any major breakthroughs unfortunately. Life seems to be taking over and i am finding myself without a lot of time to get this project complete...student loans suck (not mine, my wife's lol mine are cheap). Working for the house and to pay off our outrageous student loan debt so the truck is taking the back seat but my expedition is starting to get tired and worn out so i think the truck will end up being my focus this spring/summer in the event my expedition decides to take the same route my F150 did..R.I.P.

If you have any questions up until I basically stopped though i can assist, I lurk on here almost daily still just haven't made progress to post. I also found my Ford CD so i can pull diagrams again up until the 08 model year.

for electronics, wiring is posted earlier in this post, i forget where. just connect wires how they are labeled and match them.
wipers are wire to wire control wise and work great. hazards on the 02 are switched, and momentary pulse on the 08.
you can use 5 relays in a impulse latched setup.
Cruise wires correlate also. but resistances are different in the controls so they will not work.
shift interlock is wire to wire, there was confusion on 1 wire from park input on 08, connect it to the 12v wire on 02.
air bag wires same.
i used 5 relays for lights and 5 for ignition
all relays are powered, and groundsncontrolled theough ignition and multifunction
You will power the relays for accy, run, run, run strt, and start. and ground them through the ignition switch.
the 02 column uses contacts to control power flow, so just match wires up and connect to relays.
there are 5 power and 5 outputs. 1 for each listed above.
the 5 other relays for lights,
power in out from headlight switch. to multifunction
high, flash to pass and 1 for each turn signal.
i bought relays with base from amazon.
50$worth.
ill see if i can find my schematic i drew up,
I know this is old, but the way you worded this is confusing. You don't happen to have anything drawn up telling how this is done do you? I get the 5 relays for ignition. What are you controlling with the other 5?

I’ve had almost a year since I worked on mine. I’m halfway through column. Need the multifunction finished up and that’s about it wiring wise for me. Fixing to jump back on it. Got my Cummins in and running. Ready to unleash the beast

Not on my end yet, life has prevented me form working on it as much as I want lol. I am sticking with 100% old electronics though so I dont really have much left to figure out. I will be reupholstering my headliner and posting pictures of that hopefully tonight but if not this weekend.

Yea, I know what you mean. I’ve got 90% of the parts to do the swap. Got most of the ‘07 F-150 headlight switch wiring figured out. The terminals are the same if anyone is curious, as are the colors for the most part.

I’m thinking the 08 gauge stepper motors will work with the older electronics, but I still need to confirm that when I pull the dash apart. Thinking about trying to leave the gauges on the board, soldering wires from the old board to drive them, and just cutting the existing traces. Also gonna try to leave power to the 08 board led’s for illumination, soldering wires to the dummy lights and cutting the existing traces to those as well.

Expedition center console and getting the shifter to work

monte how did you get the center console shifter to work in the expedition console I used the newer 15-16 expedition center and have it in I’m curious how you did it and what cable you used I’m guessing I would have to get a different shift cause the one that’s on the newer console is electronic no cable

Something I put together for the signal wiring. I could only find data for the ignition relay setup. I'm putting this together this weekend for my 08+ F250 steering wheel swap. Still figuring out the cruise control situation. More to come.

So question I have is.....

I think I may have a bad converter. I'll try swapping tomorrow. Also I have center console shifter installed and working flawlessly.
I have a complete 2012 f250 body that I put on my 2002 frame and running gear.
so if I used the both fuse boxes from 2012 would all my body stuff work?
I would use the original fuse box and pcm to run my engine and transmission. Any help would be great.
I started out as like a full interior swap. But that seems like more work if I have the complete body and wiring for it.
