Just so you guys know I am still working on this slowly, I just recently rekeyed the ignition cylinder to my current key so I wont need to get a second key or change my locks. I just got a new cylinder off ebay for $25 that came with all the little pieces to construct it.

Also I fixed some photo bucket issues and ill get my pictures back up.

Once I get my car to commute to school in I will be starting to really roll and make progress on this project. Right now my truck is my commuter and along with sucking my wallet dry commuting 50+ miles a day I don't have much time after school where I have usable light outside yet.

Just tore the dash apart and ordered paint to start painting all the parts...Hopefully it will be painted and ready to go within the next week or two. I also am about to order a few things i need to rewire my dash.

Its strange to me how all the metal under these new trucks has surface rust like that. You would think Ford would paint it or something..

Yeah, im just gonna paint it with some silver rustoleum paint. I got a bunch of wire loom from work because they were throwing it out so I figured if I paint it silver it will be easy to see the wire looms after the dash is on.

I am not trying to take over your post. I just wanted to let know the areas i had trouble with so your project cpuld gp smoother. The problem I encountered was the ductwork for the venting. The firewall hvac unit on my 04 was to the right of 08 dash. For the defrost vent I went and picked up a 18" metal brake for 20 bucks and went to home depot and picked up 16" joist enclosure tin for heating and made a duct. 1 3/4" X 6 1/4" X 16" wide. It fit like glove and it did not affect the airflow. I have to admit that was a huge concern for me. But it never seemed to affect it at all. AS for the front ducting I actually moved over and had to fabricate that with a combination of the exsisting ducting and some 4 " tin elbows from homedepot. I have a couple pice I could post once I figure to how todo it.

I took the pleasure to post the pics on here for you, it looks amazing man! Did the frame literally bolt right on? My concern is the airflow as well but it it works fine then ill gladly do what you did!

Thanks. If you see the tin duct that is on defrost vent it is 2"deep. That is why it is so ugly. The second time around was perfect. LOL. I wish I would have documented this better And had more pics to share. I originally was going to use the 08 cluster however that is a bigger undertaking than I first guessed it would be. I think that will be next winters project along with the steering column. The downside by using the 04 cluster and the 08 cluster lens shields the idiot lights on either side. I am not sure what I am going to do about it yet .
