I am the happiest man on earth..in 1982 i inherited my first truck a 1960 F-100 stepside..i drove it like a tank for 13 years..dont shame me but i sold her to buy a "new truck"..big mistake...well last saturday 06/08/03 i got her back...i love to hate her all over again.....my question now that ive come to my senses can anybody recommend a los angeles club or oranizations for this dog returning to the pack.....anything would be great:-x04
Never any shame when you are forced to sell. I was in the very same boat back in 1983 with my first vehicle, a 1959 F-100. Unfortunately, mine was sent to the crusher 2 years after I sold it.
Congratulations on getting her back!
Sorry I can't help you as far as clubs in your area. I'm sure we must have someone here from your area. If not, you can also check with our Southern California Chapter.
THANKS KENNY

According to my next door neighbor, your MPG figures are right in there. These things were geared very low. Thanks to modern technology, Ford was able to get the MPG clear up to 13 or so in town, in only about 40 years, using 68 miles of underhood electrical wiring. I know I'm impressed with that engineering feat.
Hey another 60' on the board! Welcome to FTE! Ask as many questions as your little heart desires. We'll be here to answer. The gas tank holds 18 gallons if my mind remembers right. My 1960 292 v8 with the ford-o-matic gets 15-20mpg on the highway. -4speed
