Idea of what? It has not been that long ago that was the normal operation. All of vehicles built before about 2000, the hazard lights stop flashing when the brake pedal is pushed.
This is indeed normal. Any vehicle with integrated turn signals and brake lights will do this. The only vehicles that *don't* do this is those with separate (ie, amber) turn signals.
But, for example, had a chrysler neon, that is a similar case, has a single bulb for stop, turn signal and hazard, when hazard on, you hit the brakes and kept flashing hazard, i guess it should also work my ford.
Yes, this is indeed normal. The early 90's fords use a 2 bulb rear lighting system this means there is one filament used for tail lights and one filament used for BOTH the turn signals and the brake lights. newer Trucks with this system may disable the brake lights inside the hazard swtich when it is closed.
Ok, only will do one last review of electrical diagrams, if definitely not be what I will do is put a 5 pin relay to interrupt the feeding of the brake lights.
road situations or emergency stop in traffic is needed but the hazard which the brake light.
