Not at all, I am in the oil and gas industry. I service the rigs that are running around south texas. I was recently located out of San Antonio and drove from San Antonio to near Laredo (Webb and Dimmit Counties) would drive around servicing different operators and then drive home every day. Now I am in the Houston area and do the same thing here. I average 10,000 miles a month, a lot of them being offroad, hence the sig pic.

Yeah, I figured it must be something like that. My folks lived in Laredo for about 10 years, and I've made the drive between there and SA many times, even up to Victoria and back from down there. That's a LOT of seat time you've got. I'm glad you got a truck you can enjoy driving that much!
Not to sidetrack, but your experience would be appreciated in regards to something: that's a lot of miles on your 6.2L. Have you driven a 6.7L? If you had to do it all over again, would you do it the same way? Thoughts?

I actually have driven the 6.7L and it is a beauty. I was in a rental truck for two months while waiting to receive mine and drove plenty of miles on it. Enterprise truck rental was not happy with me!
On average I was getting 16-17 mpg loaded with the 6.7 and as of right now I am getting roughly 12 mpg with the 6.2. For me the high cost of the diesel upfront was the deterrent as well as the cost to maintain the 6.7L. (Mind you, I get an oil change every two weeks, as I have already driven 5000 miles by then and I fall under the severe duty maintenance schedule).
Also, fuel stations are few and far between for me and I cannot guarantee the quality of fuel. I was initially worried about poor diesel quality and potentially being stranded due to fuel problems. Based off of my experience, I believe that the 6.2 is a more forgiving motor (for poor fuel quality).
Now if I was not driving in the middle of no-where (in the desert), and was strictly a highway driver, I would have the diesel without a doubt. Don't get me wrong, I love both motors, but the 6.2 seemed to suit my needs better at the time.
Either way you go, both motors are great and the key is to find which one suits you better!
Now guys, please do not turn this into a gas vs. diesel thread (we already have plenty)!
OP: Sorry for the thread hi-jack!

Vermillion Red, XL, Reg Cab, Manual 4x4, Running Boards, Tailgate Step, Factory Spray in Bed Liner, Gooseneck Hitch, Upfitter Switches, Brake Controller, Manual crank windows and Non Powered Locks, 4.30 gears, 6.2L Gas, Heavy Duty Suspension and alternator. I choose an XL for the vinyl seats and the carpet delete vinyl floor. Unfortunally you cant get an XM radio or a rear sliding window with an XL.
