I need a good local mechanic!

Anyone in know of a good mechanic that isnt too far from the Lake Stevens area? I am past my wits end on finding a mechanic that can do the job right the first time and not keep my truck for weeks and weeks.

I am having a problem with no power going up hills. This happened after I had a mechanic replace the ECM, Fuel Relay and Computer. I have changed fuel and air filter and my injectors are clean. I dont see any vacuum lines loose, but I could be mistaken.

Help please!

Have you tried looking at fixing the problem yourself at all? I'm sure the guys in the F-series forum could help.

Ah, I know that problem . Unfortunately I don't know any mechanics worth going to anywhere, I try to o all of my own stuff if I can. It's just cheaper and on my very small budget, cheap is good.

Do you have your old ECM, why did you replace it?

I could take a look at it for free and see if there is anything I can figure out but can't promise anything as I have no way of testing the computers other than pulling the error codes.

Are we talking about the 88 F350?
If yes you should talk to Josh. I sold
him my older Snap-On scanner. The newer one
I have not should be able to read the computer.
But I know that the one Josh has will read the older
computer systems.

If you want I can see if my scan tool will read your truck
PM me the VIN and I can load it in and see what keys I need.

Yahiko PM Sent

To keep everyone else in the loop......

I took it for a quick test spin last night and it acted like it was out of fuel. A guy that helped me tow it told me he had a problem like that and it was his distributor and once it heats up it doesnt work properly and suggested I replace that.

I ran a code test again last night with a little cheapo beeping code reader and it told me codes 33 and 96.

(33)MAP sensor and (96)Transmission Low Voltage???

Well, just went to fire it up after letting it sit all night and everything has completely cooled down.... Got it to sputter but that's about it. Then it died again.
I have been driving it just about everyday, but only for quick runs to the grocery store and back and it never did this. Well, on occasion I would take a drive down to Doc's PYC which is a few miles away, but never had a problem, minus the slow goin up hill.

I'm not looking for freebies or handouts. If someone can get this thing running, i will be happy to pay for it.

Grr,
Right in the middle of finding out if I have the right personality keys
for my Solus the stupid battery dies. I pick up a set later today and
should know if I have the need items.

One question. Do you have A/C?

It was one of the questions that the scan tool asked and
even with the vin I could not find if you did or not.
