Actually the Mrs. doesn't get too twisted about these types of projects. I keep an excel speadsheet that shows all the parts and prices spent for them so we know what we have "invested" in each project. Her problem with this one is that I'm not putting this truck together to sell, so it's not a matter of selling it and making a few bucks when it's finished. I've "made" money on almost every project I've done... if you don't count my labor. Building this truck keeps me sane (even though it gets frustrating at times), it's my way of relaxing. I can't sit at a bar and chat with the fellas and I don't waste my time watching television. To each his own, if that's what gives you happiness have at it but challenging myself to create something with my two mitts is what gives me pleasure. As long as we don't end up in the poor house she's cool with it. She laughed at the poster. I think trying to do everything at one time was overwhelming (financially) for her to accept.

You need LifeCall - remember the ads, "help, my truck has fallen on me and I can't get up".
