55 f100 Dolphin Electronic Speedo

Has anyone been successful in programing the Dolphin Electronic Speedo with a ford C6?

I've gone through the frequency calibration and the distance calibration and it does appear the odometer is working right however the speedo is not. After running the mileage calibration, it set a frequency number of F00607. the original setting from the book of F00330.

When I drive, the speedo jumps up to about 60 or 70 then settles down at around 30 and won't go no high or lower unless you come to a complete stop.

I changed the frequency number back to the f00330 and its back up to 70/80 when I drive.

I get setting the frequency number but don't understand why it jumps so high then settles back down.

thanks

Sounds like something wrong in the speedo head to me. I did the calibration process and the speedo is right on when I check it with GPS.

I'd call Dolphin and talk to tech support. I had an issue with EZ wire (same company) and they were great at working me through it.

Thanks for the reply, I called them today and they helped me fix the problem. The problem was my fault, when I hooked up the pulse gen, I ran 12v power to one leg of the sensor and the other to the speedo. The guys at Dolphin said it's one wire to the speedo and the other wire is a ground. Made the change and all works perfect. I'm surprised I didn't fry the sensor.

thanks
