Hey Trey, I can't speak for others, but I'm making a day trip.

I'm not much of an hour by hour planner, but I'm interested in wandering the town with y'all, shooting a few pics, chatting up a storm over some lunch, hitting a few sights nearby (see links in Post 1), then heading back to the coast.

I'm a day tripper too. Kinda like to stop by Elmer's and check it out.

 

I had totally forgotten about this until an hour ago. I probably wont make it because of the lack of prep time, but I would like to do something in the next week to enjoy this vacation between jobs while I have it.

 

I'd be happy to swing by and pick ya up Trey. Your only prep is the PB&J sandwiches!

 

I appreciate the offer Sean. But the prepping is stuff to get away from the house. I have some work around the house and some work (or lack there of) related stuff that I need to get sorted out quickly.

 

I'll be leaving in an hour or two, will be bringing the Jaguar XJ-S as the F350 has decided to leak tranny fluid. The cruise control in the Jag does not work, so I don't know if I will be able to handle the 3.5 hour trip keeping my foot on the gas pedal. Until my mechanic friend fixes the seat so it can go back farther, it is a bit of a chore driving this car. However, I'll give it the old college try.

Had a great time in dusty Hinkley.

We shocked the town with a procession of Fords and a Jag.

Boecephus got a workout from a 7 yr old and a soccer ball.

We saw plenty of PG&E protesters voicing their opinions.

 

The conversation was much more lively than it appears in this pic.

Was great to see Bill & Carol, Jim (all the way from Fresno), Adrian, Steve, and all those Fords.
