Spotted a "52" F-100

Not one of the forums I visit, but spotted a really nice blue, all original "52" someone must have pulled out of storage. A layer of dust and tires dry rotted, but appears rust free except for a little discoloring on the white grill. Paint even looks like it would buff out. Afraid to go back and take pictures, would have to try and buy it. I don't believe I have another build left in me. Hard to find something that old and unmolested. What's a ball park value on something like this?

What! No pictures? Go back and get pictures.
but seriously its very hard to determine value sometimes even with pictures but its a good starting point. Also location can play a large role in what its worth.

Oh and f100's didn't come out until 53. So it would have been a F-1.

I'll drop by there tomorrow and take a few pictures. Hope it's not for sale. It's setting at a machine shop that the owner really wants my Bronco.

Yes, we certainly need pictures!
Not to hijack your thread but I wanted to say your Bronco looks great- I'm a big early Bronco fan. My first Bronco was a '66, wish I still had it. I had five after it and I liked it the best of all of them. The last one was a '76 with 1,700 original miles on it- a rare find I removed from 25 years of climate controlled storage.

Pictures

Closer inspection, not as good as I first thought, but really not bad. Wooden slats in bed still intact. Another one of the "It was my Grandfathers truck" so not for sale. I can respect that.

That looks like a nice old truck, thanks for sharing the pictures. Wish my 51 had looked that good when I got it.

I like that truck. Not many originals like that left. About the only ones that are left like that nowadays were indeed "Grandpa's truck".

And it has a beautiful toothy smile, no monkey face. Much better looking truck than the one I bought. It really looks like it is complete with all its trim and unmolested dash.

Darn nice looking truck. Even for a manure spreader. Hope it will not sit exposed to the elements very long.
