Nice, haven't seen this come up for quite a while. I remember when I first got my truck reading about the "BB Mod" and then the Blue Spring of course. I almost did it too but for some reason I felt more comfortable shelling out 70 bucks for the blue spring kit...
With 300 buck inj. not counting labor and a 15 grand engine I'll pay for the engineered spring upgrade. In fact I did.
When I got into modding 6.0 stuff we didn't have a blue spring upgrade, nor did we have regulated return systems. We had to improvise lots of things that can be easily bought off the shelf now. I did have a fuel pressure gauge that let me know right off the bat that there was a problem, and the BB was a quick easy fix, especially since I was a Bobcat parts manager. I actually don't recommend anyone do that unless it's a life or death emergency. You are very right about $300 injectors and 15K engines.

If I ever get to Ft. Smith I still think you owe me a beer. Oh what the hell, I'll buy.
