BD Diesel Xtrude Trans Oil Cooler

Is anyone on this forum running a BD Diesel Xtrude Trans Oil Cooler on their trucks? It looks like a pretty good setup.

your garage shows you have a '90.
E40D was standard in '90 i believe with the old c6 then being optional.
which trans do you have, what are your current temps, and what are you doing with the truck that seems to be heating you up over 175-200 trans temps often enough to consider paying several hundreds to try and cool things down?

Sorry for the late reply to my post...life got busy.

I have the e4od tansmission in my 1990 F-250. I have a Bri-Mar dump bed on it, so it hauls some heavy loads. I also have an 8' Meyers snow plow on it so it does a little heavy pushing in the winter. I also pull a Ford 340B tractor with FEL on a heavy-duty construction trailer. The truck works hard.

i would start with a temp gauge though.the cooler your looking at is very expensive.
http://www.summitracing.com/search/p...on-oil-coolers

im also running the one posted in post #2 with their bypass/t-stat and my temps remain perfect 175-210 also with a heavy hauler/light tower dump and plow setup.

this was installed by a local trans shop i used who reman and installed my e40d to a nice updated hd unit.it's a real nice cooler! was too much sandwiched between my intercooler though,so i moved it down between my plow push plates right behind an aux oil cooler.all my fluids are running perfect now.

before the reman,i had installed a B&M super cooler and a derale t-stat.that setup kept trans fluid perfect as well.
