What brand oil filter do you use?

I am curious, I can read the differences between filters, but if you change your oil (and filter) every 3k or so, does it really matter? I have used frame in every car I have owned... That being said, I rarely keep my vehicles that long so maybe I have not seen the long term effects. Does this 6.2L; Also adding about 4k a year of my miles Rv towing, equal a higher quality filter?

I can get a Motorcraft FL-820S for $3.50ish off the shelf at WalMart (right next to the orange filter brand), so it's a no brainer for me.

I have always used Motorcraft filters on all my fords.Ford does not manufacture the filter,I think pureulator does,I am not 100%sure on that. But the Motorcraft filter is made to ford specs.
I am a tech at a honda dealer some of our honda oil filters are made by fram, they have a small fram stamp on the can.But they are made to honda spec and are different than the orange fram filter.
Filter media, bypass valves, and drain back valves can be different, and somtimes cause problems during cold starts and can cause drivabilty issues.

I haven't done my first oil change yet but when I do and for the life of the truck its gonna be FORD OEM oil/filter as per manual. Being this was a FORD designed/built engine just for the SD they tested the truck using the FORD OEM products so I am staying with it to the bitter end, hoping 200k+ miles out of this engine....I did this with my 02SD 5.4 and she ran great until the day i traded her in..

Always take mine to the dealer and have them do it. It gets whatever Ford called for for oil and filter and a free wash and interior cleaning.

I use a Motorcraft FL-820S. If you look at the Purolater brand replacement, there's a difference in that the 820S has an extra O-Ring inside.

Wow.. . Seems like an overwhelming motorcraft brand vote. Thanks for the replies. I have only owned the truck for 10 months, the dealership gave me my first few oil changes "on the house" due to some transmission issues they were trying to diagnose. All is good now, but, it is my turn to change the oil. I like to do myself, therapy I guess from the work day.

+1 ^^ THIS

That is exactly how I feel. I'm going to use what Ford says to use until the end of my days. I'm slowly approaching my second oil change after 15 months (not quite 10k miles yet). And it goes back into dealer for another free service when the time comes.

Well I have a 2013 f-250 have owned it since March 23 2013 a special order truck I currently have 32,500 on truck . I use Mobil 1 full synthetic oil from Wally World and I use the napa gold oil filter which was recommended by my best friend who performs the oil changes. Motor is running strong so far.

Motorcraft oil and FL-820s

After my research this is best overall option, IMHO.
