Here are a couple of pictures of my Betsy. I used this truck for about 20 years before retiring her. I built the roll off myself so I could haul my equipment around and then use it as a dump truck. These pictures were taken after she had sat for about 2 years before I took her to the auction. That was a big mistake .I miss that ole girl

Looks like a pretty solid old L model. I'm assuming it was diesel(weren't four digit models diesel?, three were gaspot?)

I always liked the looks of those. I remember building the early 70's model Ryder box truck model growing up.

1160 cat, the older version of the 3208. I did replace the motor after 750,000 miles on it. The new valve covers said 3208 but it had a 1160 injector pump. 210 hp, was not a ton of power but it got me to where I needed daily. I went from that to 360hp in my Freightliner. After the newness wore off I started to miss her but by then it was too late. I have owned 5 semis in my life and that Ford had a special place in my heart. She saw the birth of my kids and took me through some hard times and always brought me back home safely at night. I feel I cheated on her! when I sold her. I let her down both mechanically and cosmetically. I know most people can't understand that.
