We've nailed the date for our next Oklahoma chapter get-together - September 7th. Here are the particulars:

• Location: My shop in Skiatook. If you don't know the way just PM or email me and I'll send you directions.
• Time: From 9 AM to whenever, but come when you can
• Food: I'll have some doughnuts or brownies in the morning, and we'll break at lunch to go into Ron's for hamburgers - Dutch treat.
• Drinks: I'll have coffee, soft drinks, and water.
• Projects:
  1. Ball-joints: We are going to put ball-joints in Ray's truck
  2. Carb: We will be rebuilding Bruno's Edelbrock and may powder coat it
  3. Powder Coating: Speaking of that, if you have small parts you want PC'd gloss black bring them and we'll do them as I have plenty of black. But, if you want another color you'll have to provide your own powder or get with me - I can order it and you can pay for it when you get here.

So come and bring anyone you want, especially family. There will be lots of bench racing going on and some are bringing their trucks to show. Here are a coupe that are supposed to be here:

Dorsai, you should try to visit your mom in Sept, so you have a good excuse to attend.

 

Yeah, come on to visit. We'll let the velvet rope down, for sure.

 

Although my mom was born in Tulsa, she lives here in Georgia near me. It's my grandmother who is still resident in OK. I would try to come out in September, except I'm already going to be there this weekend. I'll wave in the general direction of Skiatook.

Yea nothing wants to go together right or easy, nothing like putting on stuff 3-4 times to make it right.

 

Sounds great, Gary. I'll put it on my calendar and ask off from work so I can make it out. I'll be in my '96 and I might bring some stuff to swap that I don't need for my 4WD conversion. Also, I'll look around for a pedal assembly before hand so if I find one I can bring it along.

 

Excellent! I'd really love to have the hydraulic pedal assembly. But, more importantly, glad you can make it.

I just sent a request to join the chapter so maybe if its accepted, I'll make it to this event. I really enjoy wrenching and meeting others. I used to be a chapter director on another forum (that I have abandoned) and used to host G2Gs all the time at my shop.
Usually consited of a smoker full of animal parts, cold beer was optional and a good time was mandatory.

 

Clay - You don't need to be a member to attend, but since you e posted here I'll approve your request this evening. However, our GTGs aren't that lavish, so you may be disappointed if you come for just the food.
