He drives my truck but a year newer and his truck is 2wd and he said he put a 4wd lift kit on it.. is that possible.. I figured he was full of it, I mean shouldnt it make a difference if??? I think lol (I hope i won 5 bucks lol)

So yours is a 98 or a 99? Lifting the rear end would be the same way on a 2wd vs 4wd. Useing blocks or shackle flip kit.

since 4 wheel is leaf spring and 2 wheel is coil spring, i can not see how a 4 wheel lift kit will work in a 2 wheel truck.
unless it is a F-150, then they are both coil sprung and the kits will probably swap.

99 F150 4 x is tortion bar and 2wd is coil.
The rear is possible..but front..not!

Good so I was correct! And he has it lifted and told me it was a 4wd lift kit. Thanks guys he was full of it.

Mine is a 99 7.3 4x4 his is a 2000 4x2 he lifted it 8in with a 4x4 lift kit so he says

Nope his truck is 4x2 no conversion to 4x4

There are lifts for 2wd trucks.
My 97 2wd had a 2" lift

I believe I have seen new twin I beams with lifts built in. Don't think you can get anything more than 4 inches of lift though.
