stepside longbed

i have a pretty good looking stepside long bed for sale, and i was wondering if anyone might know what i could fetch for something like this? These things are so rare i have not ever seen one for sale to even think about a price i could ask for this. i would really like to trade it for a regular long box, and maybe some front fenders, but i doubt anyone around me is gonna have those things for trade.

Thank you in advance for the price recomendation.

A lot depends on condition. I would advertise that your want to trade for a good style side bed. Someone will probably trade you even.

I've seen 3 of these for sale, and now yours makes the fourth. The three I have seen were dang near perfect , but the paint was bad...all of them fetched somewhere between 5-800. Personally, I love them...but I think the price is held down because so many folks think they're ugly. Got any pics, I'd love to see it.

here are some pics of it. i really think that the dent the P.O./ original owner put in it for the tire can be hammered back out. I love this bed, but it does not fit on my current project. I would keep it but with the economy i would rather just see if i can straight up trade it for a regular style side in the same condition.

That would make a nice addition to a new project. I do like the old school styling tho, but Texas is just too far away............... Would it be insane to start a project based upon the bed?,........ Would be cool, I hope some one would snap it up and put it to good use, and not let it rust to death, or send it to the crusher.

DAMMIT!!!

Ive been looking for a 8' stepside bed for 2 years now...

A road trip to Texas is out of the question... but if you were local.. it would be sold!

As for value...

location location location... DEMAND...

In Texas I would think these would be pretty ample in that condition compared to up here in New England (RI).

That conditon... up here... $1000 easy

haha for the right fuel cost road trips are not out of the question. i wonder what shipping on this bed would be? As for building a truck around this, i thought about it. But the more i picture the truck in my head the more i would rather have a regular long bed.

If I remember correctly that bed is correct for 1953 - 1973 ford trucks. I beleive the 73 -86 stepside beds had a flat top rail vs the angled top rail on your bed.

I have a 56 F100 that I needed that bed for!

And your right... road trips with the right fuel costs are great! With today's fuel costs and the 11 miles per gallon my truck gets with out a trailer to put that bed on... and the 4+ days of driving.... yep... dont think so!
