No V-notch in my Rod Bearings?

Rebuilding a 390. Just noticing that there's a V shaped notch on one side of the connecting rod caps. But, there's no v shaped notch in the new bearings. The old bearings had the V notch. Does anyone know why there would be no V notch on the new bearings? Clevite bearings, Part number is CB-760 P-20.

It was an oil relief feature to possibly squirt oil up into the cam. Lots of aftermarket parts lack features the stock parts had. Adding the notches probably was counter to the bean counter's figuring the profit margin.

I thought that was to squirt some oil on the cylinder walls?

Figure out the angle the crank would have to be where the oil hole in the crank would align with that notch and see where it would go.
