Differential rebuild??
I have '99 F350SD SRW A/T w/900K miles on it. Right now I am getting a lot of back play when I move the rear wheel forward and back. Also getting vibration back thru the drive shaft at 15-30mph. Vibration seems to go away when the torque convertor locks up. Tag on the diff (S 406 C ) 3.73 10.5..
I haven't pulled the cover off as of yet. Any input as to what to do from here is appreciated. Parts, directions, etc. Have big shade tree to work under!

. Think were all a little curious as to what you have done to her/replaced, to get that many miles.

Have you recently pulled/had the drive shaft apart? I ask because I had mine pulled and it wasnt properly put back together and 6 months later being out of balance I had to have the splines replaced because they stripped out. The sound that your describing sounds similar to what I experienced.
