Good morning Jim and you woodchuck wannabees. Off to go camping today - woohoo. Doing all my checks on the RV yesterday and while checking tire pressures I find one of the tires has a busted belt and a chunk out of the tread. New tire should be here today. Glad I was concentrating on tires because it would have been a real PITA to be putting on the spare up on the interstate not to mention the damage a tire can do to the RV when it comes apart. I've been concerned about tires because these at at the end of their theoretical life at 5 years since manufacture. And tire failures are a pretty hot topic on the RV forums, where a lot of people have nothing good to say about RV ST tires. My wheels are 15" so I can't upgrade to an LT tire but I may have to look into 16" wheels and LT tires before we do any long trips. Glad we're only going 30 miles down the road for the shakedown cruise.
Going to be chilly tonight - 34 degrees or colder (I expect colder up where we're going to be on the ridge line). We'll get to see how well the RV keeps us warm - can't be worse than a cold wet tent in the snow :-).
I had two meetings here in Montpelier yesterday so we are scheduled for Thursday, Friday Sat right now. Might have to run back Sat to take care of the pony but we have Thursday and Friday covered. Good thing we're close to home!
