Dave hope all is well with the family members. Look what fit in my shop with both doors open, now the fun begins.....

Remove the dash cluster, dash pad, pull the swapped in seats, locate the old shoulder seat belts in the Ford shed. Prep the interior paint....

Get the paint to do the interior, clean up the newer door panels, get the bed liner kit to do the floors. Figure out what stereo to put in it, get the dash lights working (when I re-install the cluster), get the park lights working, fix the turning signal switch. See if I can get the e brake to loosen up on the pedal end.

Get the replacement seat/brackets ready to go in, remove some spare wiring under the dash, get the manual choke hooked up, prep the flat bed for paint. Not much to do really....

Nice Rich!

Our garage is so small I could barely fit my Tracker in it with enough room left to work around it. Putting my truck in is just laughable.

Awesome Rich!

Well, the rear is officially attached to the street rod chassis. I got the 3 link done, but I still have to build the lower spring and shock mounts. After that, the rear suspension is completely finished. (Woo Hoo!) It was dark when I wrapped it up, so I'll get pictures tomorrow. I can't wait to start building the body on this thing.

I got the complete interior.... door seals, instrument cluster, dash pad, glove box, mirror, seats, shifter boots, removed.

Prepped the both door jams for paint by working to remove that old house paint, and chased down some loose wiring. Ran a wire brush and vacuum over the entire floor to get it ready to be bed lined. More aggressive prep is coming to the floor.

Got to cleaning out the cowl vent drain holes, what a mess in there that is. Worked on straightening the push bar, addressed some light/wiring issues.

Finishing the chain link fence job tomorrow, and another one on tue. Thats cutting into my truck time, lol.

Awesome news Alan! The car illness bit me this evening, a buddy just picked up a pair of cars but only wanted the Supra, he offered me the 94 Celica GT as "payment " for favors I've done for him not expecting anything for my time.

Chip. Take the car and run! It should be an easy flip if it's in decent shape.

Rich, use the coarsest sand paper you feel comfortable with. That bed liner needs something to bite in to. Then wash the floor down with lacquer thinner before you start with the liner to make sure it's spotless. Then the liner should last. It's looking good so far!

That 77, I had him send me pics, it is pretty rough.

Question....if the gas tank is in the cab, is it a pre 77.5? Genuine highboy...

I know my 77.5 f150 does not.

Hey! I hit elder user a couple posts back! None of my friends would ever believe that I hit 500 posts on a ford sight! All I have to say is family history made it pretty easy, and the older I get the history gets more important to me. Heck I most likely will own my 77 f150 and a 78 f250 by the end of the week if all goes well.

1. Its is a $900 F250, what do you want? A truck like ol Blue for that much?
2. In cab tank for 63-76 I believe F250 only?
3. Only a F250 can be a "highboy".
4. You know the term Highboy is NOT a Ford term, but a owner derived term that stuck?

Morning folks.

Morning folks.
1, no, if I could get a truck like yours for that much I wouldnt worry too much about searching for just the right one. What I'm looking for is a good cab, cab mounts, dont care a lot about the bed(in case I go flatbed), decent motor is a plus because I might throw it in ol Big Red when I start the diesel conversion. I want a diesel, and this truck will be it. Otherwise I don't really need another truck! I have to keep saying that to myself! LOL!

I'm looking at that red and gray one, 390 runs and drives, newer exhaust and pipes, overload springs in the front, inside is trash, but one trip to the junk yard ought to cure that. It needs my needs more than the others right now for the money.

Wish I would have got that blue flatbed that needed doors, but he sold it, that truck met most of my wants from the get go.

So I hope I answered your question regarding what I want. It is basically the stuff ill be able to use after the conversion vs price vs how much money ill have in it when it rolls on its own. That $ 900 77, I'm still waiting on more pics from him, but it looks to need more than the $1100 gray and red one.

Good Morning Everybody!

I'm gonna see about getting the spring perches done today and maybe some stuff moved in to the new shop. Tiff has to work today and will probably take the computer with her, so I'll be off of here until she gets back late tonight.
