How to lower a 92 F150??

Hey, I have a '92 F-150, and I haven't been able to find anywhere any kits for lowering it (or lifting for that matter). Does anyone know where I can find one, or how to do it myself? Cutting the springs won't work I don't think, they taper. Thanks.

There are all kinds of lowering kits avaliable. You have to get new I beams up front and lower the rear. The best place to look is in TRUCKIN magazine. Its all about street and lowrider trucks. They are at most magazine stands. Really nice thick magazine. Hope this helps.

edelbrock makes 1 and 2 inch drop springs for the front, and 2 inch spinghanger and two inch shackles for the rear, so you'r have a total 2in front/4in rear drop.

i wouldnt recomend cutting the springs on anything let alone a truck, i just dont beleive in dropping fullsize trucks, lift kits on the other hand, rough country is fairly priced. this eara truck the lifts work for both 2x4 and 4x4

Check LMC Truck. They sell the lowered I beams for the truck that will raise your spindle in relation to the I-beam (thereby lowering everything else...). They also sell dropped coil springs for the front, and lowering shackles in the rear. You can also go cheap on the rear end and just do an axle flip: Instead of having the axle below the springs, you get new u-joints and put the axle above the springs instead. Beware that any of these methods will decrease your ground clearance and avaialble wheel travel, possibly leading to body, frame, or suspension damage. If you do this you'll also need new, lower shocks, and should put in new bumpstops to decrease the chance of frame-to-axle contact.

SH-1014-2 2" rear lowering shackles.
DJM3000 - 3/4 3" front drop axle beams, 4" rear shackle/hanger kit.
DJM3000 - 3/5 3" front drop axle beams, 5" rear flip kit.

Take your pick of any of the above.

wow. Yep, I didn't even check the date. How did this ever get dug up?

Ahhhh.... lemme guess. New user was told to search instead of post repetitive questions. this is the result of that suggestion i'd be willing to wager.
