1995 F-150 V8 5.0L Hesetation and pinging
been having this trouble and looked at many posts, still not fixed, the truck runs fine untill after about 35 to 40 mins as it warms up, at around 35 and 50 mph when pressing gas pinging and hesitation occur, if i press gas harder it goes away as the truck revs up, i have changed, egr, egr solenoid, spark plugs, spark plug wires, o2 sensor, heat sensor, coolent flushed, maf checked, air filter sensor changed, vacuum can checked, hoses checked and fixed, have taken it to firestone without any luck, thnking of taking it to Ford Dealer but would like to see if i can find the problem first, any suggestions on some easy fixes or DIY jobs first? maybe its the knock sensor but i can't get to it to disconnect it to see if that's the problem.
PS: when i took the "Spout" plug out the truck ran way better, could it be a bad computer/pcm?

Hi starfriend, and welcome to FTE! And yes, sometimes disconnecting the SPOUT and having the truck run better points at a bad ECM, but before anything you need to pull the codes to see what's going on. I recommend the Equus 3145 code reader for the job, but you can actually do it with a paperclip (do a little search on the Chapter and you'll find it properly explained).

Thank you for the idea. I have tried to get codes and i just user a wire to connect the two points and use the check engine light to get numbers. The onle code i get is the one that just says that the air conditioner was not turned off. I will try to pull codes later tonight to see if anything new comes up. Thanks again

Ok so disconected the battery today for about 2 hours. Maybe it would help the computer or all the sensors reset or something. Anyways drove home at least 2 hours there was alot of trafgic but still did the hessitation and pinging at around 30mph and again 50 and 60 mph when pushing on the gas trying to catch up with traffic and not be the slow poke. Anyways got home and did the Key in engen off test and the key in engen on test and both codes that were give were 111

111 means everything is just fine, but definitely you have a timing issue, either that or you need new spark-plugs and cables. The timing should be set to 10deg BTDC when and it should be done with the SPOUT disconnected, if you need further direction please ask and I'll explain this further.

Encho. Thank you for the advice. The spark plugs them selfs have been changed twice first at fireston them once by me with motorcraft since i thought it was bad plugs by them. The same with the spark plug wires. Next thing i will do is get the timing checked to make sure it is correct ill have to see if a shop around town will do it for me as i dont have any of the equipment or knoldge of that specificaly. Thanks again and i will report back as soon As i get that checked.. im hopeing for the best.

Ok so took my truck back to firestone where i have a few things done before the problem started. I had them check the timming and it was fine. They had it for 3 days untill they figured out it was a bad distributer that was replace last time and the part was still undrr warrenty. Thanks all for you help. A ton of new parts later and this truck should be good for a long time i hope.
