I've noticed that my belt squeals all the time. It gets louder at higher RPM and it squeals the same regardless of whether or not the A/C is on. The belt is in good shape and not very worn, which makes me think that it's not the belt but rather the bearings on one of the belt driven accessories. I've tried to listen and pin point the squeal, but There is so much noise under that hood that it's really hard to tell which accessory might be the culprit.

I am planning to just go ahead and change out the tensioner as a first shot at resolving this. I wanted to post and see if anyone knows of a common culprit to this first.

I had a squeel. Sprayed some belt dressing on it and it went a way for a few days. I decided to change the idler pully and the belt tensioner. Got rid of the squeel and has not returned
