Just bought a 2006 F350 with a V10
Well, about a month ago my son totaled my 2003 F350 with a 5.4L. We had taken very good care of that truck and it was sad to see it ruined. Fortunately, my son was able to walked away from the accident without a scratch.
Yesterday, I bought a 2006 F350 CC with a V10. Hopefully I will have as much luck with this truck as I did the 2003. We have a 30 ft travel trailer that the 5.4L would struggle with on hills. I'm hoping the V10 will have an easier time towing the trailer.

Pay more attention to her shoe collection and she'll appreciate the new van!

She appreciated it the first time I ran it WOT with her. That V10 and 5 speed automatic makes for an exhilarating 0-50mph sprint.
"Whoa, that actually IS pretty impressive."
She takes full advantage of our V6 Ford Contour's tachometer sweep range on a regular basis. It's a zippy car with good charge above 4,000rpm (once the IMRC kicks in).
But even a skeptical girl was impressed with the 6.8L!

2006 F350
I have the same truck with a short bed. My previous truck was a 2003 F250 5.4L and yes the 6.8L does like the gas. I pull a 14,100 lb 5th wheel camper and the 6.8L does a much better job. I get about 7 to 7.9 mpg pulling that 5th wheel. It will get 11 mpg empty at 65 mph. Same mpg at 55 mph!
What does the Five Star do for the 6.8L?
