I didn't really need much either with my C6 tranny so opted to put it in the dash where you see many others have put differnt gages. Oil and Temp are mounted where the ash tray was.
Where in the hell do you find a tach that small??? I've never been one for a big monster tach...figure small and condensed will tell me the same thing. I've been getting by with Autometer classic chrome tachs in 3 5/8" for a while...but would love to find a tach that small.

It worked great for like 4 mins.
That's why I'd buy the AM piece for $120...some times price isn't just about name brand...but quality as well.

Yeah, I read the specs on it, plus not many dents' are going to be pulling anywhere close to 10K RPM so I deleted that one and posted a couple of other ones.

Clean set up. If I may, what steering wheel is that looks great
It's a OEM Sport steering wheel that was an option for trucks and some cars in the period. I got mine for a good deal on ebay. You need to watch closely though because some car units were set up for the horn on the turn lever and won't work in your truck.
My $20 swap meet find... retail is about$120. It had a dented bezel so a lil filler, masking, and paint and she's as good as new.
After a 3-year search, here's my $16 salvage yard discovery. I couldn't believe it when I saw it.. pulled it out of a 77 Dentside. Almost had to buy the entire column but luckily a picker working on a bowtie was kind enough to lend me a 15/16 socket.
I'm headed to a swap meet tomorrow to find more good deals.
