Does anybody know where this goes?

The parking brake cable has a little bracket on it that looks like it should fasten to either the firewall or the bell housing. Does anybody know where this goes. It wasn't hooked to anything when I got the truck.

Cardboard insulation was stock on the cowls.

My 50 is on the top bolt of the bell housing to engine block pass side

John, good point, I forgot that on 48-50's the e-brake cable penetrates the firewall over on the passenger side of the trans cover, while on the 51-52's it penetrates at the plates around the pedals.
