Need help trying to find a wheel seal part number!?
My wheel seal went on my 1984 f250 4x4. I can't seem to find a part number at autozone for the correct wheel seal. It measures 2 1/2". And everyone that autozone has is 3". I believe I have a semi floating pinnon since the directions in Haynes was for a semi and that's how I removed te pinnon axle. But any information is great. And it how to verify what type of rear end I have. The tag is missing. It is a manual not sure of that matters. But I believe it's a light duty f250. Thank you

most f250s came with the dana 60, but rumor has it that some had the ford 8.8
i know on the 8.8 rearend, they offered a "repair bearing" which included a smaller OD seal, maybe thats what you're looking at.
i'm not sure whats there on the semi-floating dana 60 - i have one but haven't opened it.
to ID your axle, look at its rear cover and compare that to pics online - you should be able to find a good image on google if you search for axle ID pics.
IIRC, the dana 60 had the fill plug in the cover, while the 8.8 had it in the front side of the axle housing
