Gooseneck Turnover Hitch for 2014 F-150
My dad is buying a new 2014 F-150 super crew. I put a Drawtite hide-a-goose in my 2012 f-250 and like it. However, the drawtite website shows that their hitch will only fit through 2013 on the f-150.
I am trying to find a hitch that isn't a B&W that will fit my dad's truck online and am not having very much luck. I was wondering what others here were using or knew of. Thanks

Welcome to the forum!
The only guy on here that i know of that is using a goosneck is running a B&W. (user Chris Anchor)
there is a user pulling a 5th wheel, but he had a rail system in the bed.
just to satisfy my sense of curiosity, why not the B&W?
Not to belabor the point, but pulling a gooseneck with a SuperCrew is going to be tough to do without overloading the truck, even with the HD Payload package. Not saying the truck won't do it, but it will be tough to stay under your maximum payload rating with the pin weight of a 5th wheel or gooseneck.
Goosenecks and half-tons are a tough combination to make it work.

Thanks for the input! B&W are quite a bit higher than other manufacturers out there. My Drawtite was about half the cost of a B&W.
All he would pull is a 12' stock trailer with a couple of horses. My truck is used for bigger stuff.
Sounds like B&W is the only game in town on half ton trucks.

there may be others, but B&W's quality is hard to beat.
check online, you can get some killer deals if you are willing to put them in yourself.
check out your RV dealers as well, there's one around here that sells them for about 480 installed.
here's Chris's thread on his hitch installation:
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...5th-wheel.html
here's how he uses it:
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...an-t-pull.html
keep in mind though, his payload rating is over 2800lbs, which makes that kind of towing within the truck's ratings.
here's the 5th wheel rail system i was thinking of:

he added airbags to help support the weight. Something you might want to keep in mind as you may find the tail dips quite a bit when you get real heavy on the kingpin.
they do make gooseneck hitches for rails as well, so that may be another option for you, might be cheaper, might not, but it will work with airbags for sure.
AFAIK there is an airbag kit that works with the B&W, but you'll have to do some digging to find it....
good luck!

I get what you are saying. I had a B&W that I installed in my dodge 5.9l off of craigslist ($100, couldn't pass that up). I also out in the Drawtite myself on my 2012 6.7l. I have no problems installing a gooseneck in a truck.
I just want to put on in my dad's new truck for as cheap as possible.
Last truck dad bought he got a trailer company to put in a gooseneck for $700. Just trying to save my pops some money.

B&W PN GNRK1104
$439 with free shipping:
B&W GNRK1104 - Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch - Ford 1/2 Ton Trucks All Beds
Might be worth your time to call some of the other manufacturers and see how far away from checking fitment on the 2014's they are. I'm not aware of any major changes between 2013 and 2014 that would cause fitment issues, so even though they aren't listed yet, they might not be very far from certifying their product to work on the 14's.
looks like drawtite might be about $100 cheaper, so it might be worth a call to them.

That was going to be my next step. I was thinking about it last night and how the 2015 models would be quite a bit different than the earlier models, since it's a revamp year, and the 2013 and 2014 models are probably similar.
I was just wondering what most people here were running and what they liked. I appreciate the input.
