Instrument Cluster Trim Panel

What can be done to brighten the instrument panel trim? Mine usta be trimmed in silver, but that's long gone. I was gonna must paint the trim outlines again, but I have it out so I thought I'd paint it with black model spray paint.

Thoughts? Better approach perhaps?

Go to a crafts store like "Michael's" in the paint section they should have silver leaf pens, I think Krylon makes them.
A few months ago there was a thread here detailing how to detail the "chrome" trim with the pen. I looked for it but couldn't find it quickly.
