Made a few 1/8th mile passes last night
So I've had my truck a few months now, and I had been planning on taking it down the local 1/8th mile track but hadn't done it yet. Several of my friends were going last night, so I decided it was time to see what the 6.0 would do with the few mods I currently have.
The first pass I made in 2wd. That didn't work so well. I ended up spinning to almost half track. I went a 10.x and was kind of surprised it went that fast with all the tire spin. The next pass I went ahead and switched to 4 hi and left with a little boost. I went an 8.95 at 75 mph. That was more like it!
I ended up making a few more passes and got a best of 8.90 at 75.2 mph. The best part of the night was beating a Duramax by about 1 1/2 truck lengths.
I did lose to one truck though. It was a 2008 CC 4x4 with a straight pipe and a SCT race tune. He was running 8.60's. Those 6.4's really move with a good tune.
Now it is time to put on my egr delete and get my studs in. Then maybe call up Matt for another tune so I can go back and see if I have enough for that 6.4l.
