1947 Ford Truck using Crown Vic Suspension

Just bought a 47 Ford truck. Will the 2003-2007 crown Victoria front work? Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Brian

CV crossmember

I asked the same question about a month ago. It seems that it may work, with a lot of trial and error, careful measuring, but the CV crossmember has a wider trackwidth than the original front suspension. It can't simply be narrowed, because the rack and pinion steering is designed for that specific width. Wheels with a drastic back spacing may solve the problem, but would be expensive. Try googling CV crossmember swaps to get info on other types of installation and how people worked with that. Let us know what you find out or decide.

It's too wide for these trucks,
but it works fine on the 1961 and up f100s
