Last I knew, the Kent Fuller flathead powered streamliner, his last car, is supposed to run. Has anyone heard anything? I got to know Kent a bit (Fuller to his friends) and sat in the steamliner several years ago before it was in paint. Anyone heard?

Hey Tinman I looked again and your pics are really good... large size and clear. Are you taking them with a regular digital camera(not phone)? I'm still trying to perfect my picture taking/posting here on FTE. Just curious as to what you're using.

Rob, it's almost impossible to take a bad pic on the salt. The light and background is always perfect....

I was using a pos Nikon coolpix camera that's like 5 years old. I did use a slight filter to reduce glare and the light setting on "daylight". I leave the size setting on "PC screen". Then I don't have to resize every pic.

I need to get a new camera, but would rather spend the money on other stuff...

Hey Scott thanks for the info on the pics. I have an older Sony camera and I'll have to check for a PC screen type setting. I'm going to check out Youtube for some video of this year's Speedweek. You see alot of video now from the GoPro type cameras which makes for an interesting perspective.

Here's a trailer for a movie featuring a couple of guys and their hot rods heading from New York to Bonneville. I could never get tired of watching this!

Man, I could not bring myself to drive anything I cared about on the salt. Especially thru salty water! Too much like Illinois in the winter...

Atomic is on the HAMB, and there are lots of threads with absolutely excellent pics from Speed Week (not taking anything away from yours, Tinman!)

Glad to offer more options for time wasting activities! I would seriously love to build a traditional style hot rod some day but with my lack of funds and fabrication skills that probably won't happen. We had a great platorm (26 Model T) two seat roadster but sold it several years ago. I also had access to several flatties at one time but didn't have an interest... crazy but true!

The Rolling Bones normally stop here in Erie for a refueling stop - Depending on what time they leave there shop if they hit here near a meal time we put on a feed for them and a bunch of the rodders get to bench race with these guys
There trips kind of remind me of some of the races across America, like taking a pure salt racer and putting it on the road so that they could put a broke driver on a trailer
Great bunch of guys
