Ahh, ok.
Mine's listed on my window sticker, but it was part of a package (Lariat Ultimate) for my model year. I couldn't find an '08 order guide, but I did find a '09 order guide for the F450's. It looks like the remote start was a limited production offering for late '09, so I suspect yours may not have it now.
If you have the VIN, you could look it up on the links below and see if there's anything indicating that it has is (or even call Ford Customer Service).

Remote after market
I've an 05 F-350 6.0 and have an after market starter system (Ultimate branding).
Has multiple timer delays for the glow plug.... 30 sec I use in cold Northern NY and 15 sec during the summer months....
Admittedly it takes some reading and comprehension and luck to get the programming down but works good.
Also, my F350 has no block heater and the starter system gives me an option of having it start every so many hours and run for an assortment of times... 7min, 12 min and 3 min...
I've only one complaint..... I triggers the EGR lite if it isn't switched to the warm weather settings and kills the battery in the cold when on the alternate settings.
Do some research...... Diesel, auto~man trans,
Good Luck is obtained by some one reputable doing the install and set up...even if that is YOU!
