Stupid question
96 explorer, wheres the Rear wiper fluid res ? so i can fill it.

The front and rear wipers share a reservoir. There is a separate pump for each, and a one-way valve for the rear to keep fluid near the nozzle.

I should have checked the service manual before posting. Apparently the 1996 is different from the 2000 Mountaineer. Per the service manual:

The rear window washer system consists of:
  • a single washer nozzle jet and bracket.
  • a wiper/washer switch on the instrument panel (04320).
  • an external washer pump on the washer reservoir. The washer reservoir is located behind the left rear trim panel.
The filler tube is above the driver's rear taillight.
