Can someone PLEASE tell me how many hours Ford says this job is supposed to take? I think I am getting the run around at the dealer. My truck has been there 2 weeks and all they have done is a scan tool test to tell me crap I already knew.

And does anyone have any advice to light a fire under their lazy a$$es?

 

I just had my glow plugs and all IC boots replaced including plenum inserts and was done in five hours. Two weeks??

 

In the blazing hot sun...
I can have a running engine tore down and compression tested in 2hrs or less.
Book should say like 3.5-4hr ballpark.

Remove vc's.
Remove gp's 1 at a time and test compression.

Gravy.

 

See? That is what I thought and I would have done it except I couldn't find an adaptor that would go into the GP holes.

 

Harbor freight has a perfect adapter for around 4$.
Grease gun hose...
Then you need a 1/8npt double female coupler.
