Questions..

if you put a 3 inch down pipe on and delete the cat.. The 3.5 cat delete pipe should bolt up to the new down pip correct?? Does the cat delete have a 3' input and 3.5 inch output? Making the stock muffler a 3.5 inch pipe??..... All this meaning I have to find a 3.5 inch pipe in order to delete the muffler??

 

You can get whatever you want, cat delete pipe to 3.5" or cat delete to 4" or even 5". I am going to just gut my cat when my 3" downpipe comes in and leave the rest of my exhaust system in. The stock muffler on these trucks is straight through anyway, not much back pressure there at all. It's not like these trucks are not already loud. If you like loud, delete the muffler.

I am doing it this way because the stock exhaust is stainless steel, my truck only has 78k miles on it and I am cheap and can save my money for another mod that will give greater performance for the buck.

One thing you may want to do is toss the clamps that will come with new downpipe and get a sleeve type clamp instead. Much easier to drop the pipes later if you ever need to service the up pipes or epbv.
