Replacing the Inards of a '55 F100 Door

'55 F100. Drivers door glass is inside the door but inoperative and sitting intact in the bottom of the door. Lock is missing too. Looking at the parts diagram in a LMC truck catalogue I see there is a lot of stuff in there. Any well known do and don't about putting the inside of this door back together?

Doors have a specific order for putting stuff back in. Do a search on this forum, there are good directions. For a quick version - vent window/frame, divider bar, window regulator, rear glass channel then place glass into holder, attach to regulator and run it in the channels. Keeping the screws on the window regulator, divider and rear glass channel lose helps everything until you get the glass to go up and down freely then tighten. The locks and door latch can then be installed. Take your time and you'll get it.

I wouldn't trust LMC catalogs, as they have a gazillion errors and omissions. LMC's part numbers are not FoMoCo related.

1948/56 Ford Truck Parts Catalog available on a CD from hipoparts.com

Window regulator (23200) retained to window channel (21458) with window roller (23240). Roller breaks, window falls down into the door.

Good luck with your door over there in Alabama. Please feel free to use this good luck if you meet up with Johnny Manziel again this year as well !

Alabama and A&M bump heads pretty early in the season this year. I'm a little biased but.. Just as part of the SEC I hope to see Manziel continue on his winning ways but If I were a betting man I'd be all in on Alabama this time around.

Looked at the clutck linkage under the truck and the picture in the LMC catalogue. Immediately ordered the 1948/56 Ford Truck Parts Catalog on a CD from hipoparts.com

I's suggest taking the door off the truck and laying it on a table to work on it, makes it a lot easier to work on. actually the insides are pretty simple. Everything comes out the lower inspection hole.
