turbocharged highboy

i would like to turbo charge my 64 390fe. it has c4aeg heads edelbrock rpm intake comp cam 268 kit and a 750 edelbrock carb with hooker ceramic headers and a stock bottom end. i would like about 5-7 pounds of boost. can it be done and will my bottom end handle it. advice and input is welcome.

Another one I'm bringing back to the top. Have you read and researched this any more.
Well, unless you put the turbo in the rear, your headers need to go, or get cut up.
Build a remote mount setup. Then you keep your nice headers.
Blow through carb has its weirdness. Usually you'll be able to tune half your powerband.
Best way is to put the carb in a box and pressurize the whole thing. Not many ways to put tune able efi on an fe. Unless you do tb injection like holley projection.
Your motor will handle 5-6 psi easy. Just need to tune it safe.

to get her to spool you would have to have complete exhaust built to match the turbo, requirements, then change the way you drive, gassers don't spool like diesels. Drop in a 7.3
