Chicken Hawk...the 1958 F-100 4x4...292 w/4spd
I drove down to Ryegate and back today to pick him up.
It was also Elmer's first road trip. I must say I was please with how the 91 handled and how it drove. I got about 19 MPG on the trip down....set the cruise at 65 since I was towing the empty car dolly and didn't want it bouncing around. I got about 9 coming home. I tried to maintain 55 but some of those hills coming home were killers. I usually get about 10 in town...but I am not gentle with the happy pedal.

The data plate says it was a special order. I don't know what was ordered special.
The VIN says it came with a 6 cylinder but someone put a y-block v-8 in it. The PO says it's a 292....I don't know. It's got a T98-14 borg warner 4 spd and a divorced Spicer model 24 transfercase. The rear is a 9" with 3.89's. The front is out of a '64 or '65 Ford with 3.92's.
Someone also cut out the exhaust crossover pipe and made their own dual exhaust.
There is no radio, and never had the dash cut for one.
Speedo doesn't work.
